After the roaring success of Knighty’s home grown, Granite Hills bottled Psycho Shiraz, and the Blonde Psycho, we’re proud to announce the release of the MAD MACKA MERLOT.
This could not be more of a grass-roots collab, Ross Knight of the Psychos grows the grapes, and down the road, his cousin Llew (Granite Hills) makes the wine! As the label states: All grapes grown, picked and sworn at lovingly by Ross!
We have also restocked a final batch of the Psycho Shiraz and the Blonde Psycho.
Blonde Psycho - is the classic Southern Rhone-style blend of Marsanne, Roussane & Viognier - but don't let the fancy stylings fool you, this is a full-bodied wine that can stand up to a slab of VB any day. Sure, there's a bit of apricot in there, a bit of creamy weight, but there's a good whack of chalky acid to clean that thing up and best pairing would obviously be a Schnitzel, chips and sauce.
The Psycho Shiraz is the red and oh boy it bull-dozes over your palate with a big load of flavour. There's a bit of mulberry, bramble fruit and a light dusting of white pepper. Would go well with big hunk of steak or even just on top of a Mountain of Piss.
